Mobility is increasingly and inevitably connecting, opening opportunities for new mobility solutions. Multiple modes of transport used seamlessly. Data will allow to craft individual solutions managed via one device: your smartphone. Allianz Partners is pioneering this shift from insuring assets to protecting mobility journeys - irrespective of mode of transportation.

What do you hope to achieve at IAA MOBILITY 2023?
The world of mobility is changing: from offline sales to digital distribution, from owning cars to using mobility services, from combustion engines to electric vehicles - while connectivity is increasing. Our target is to illustrate that Allianz Partners as an insurer plays an essential role in enabling these changes via innovative insurance and service solutions and contribute to higher customer loyalty providing peace of mind. We are already closely cooperate with key car manufacturers as well as several mobility players and I am looking forward to further discuss during the IAA.

Which essential topic of the future receives too little attention from the public?
There are still caveats regarding Electric Vehicles (EV) and the challenges of this new technology which might also impair the growth used car market for EV. In order to build trust and confidence, technical and insurance solutions are needed, covering also state of health of the battery.

In which area of mobility do you see the greatest potential and where do you see the greatest need to catch up?
We at Allianz Partners see great potential in "embedded insurance". Products and services are integrated into mobility partners' platform providing a seamless customer journey. The customer configures his new car and motor insurance - beside additional services - are fully embedded with no or a few additional questions. Car and insurance are bought at the same time. Once the car is delivered, he can "simply" drive away. Driver and vehicle are fully covered incl. additional services for peace of mind.

IAA MOBILITY is the leading global mobility platform. It connects innovators from all spectrums of mobility. Who do you want to network with in September and why?
Connecting to different kind of innovators from all aspects of Mobility and find the link to insurance. I am keen to touch base with current partners, being it car manufacturers, mobility players or platform providers. I am also excited to meet new potential partners. Always looking for ways to improve our value proposition and our service.

The world is fundamentally changing. Innovation and also the endeavors in the mobility sector are bigger than ever before. What is your vision of the world in 20 years?
I believe that, in the next years, individual mobility will still be associated with owning a car. However, new mobility solutions will emerge and gain importance lowering the importance of ownership. As for motor insurance, claims frequency is likely to decrease due to advanced assistance systems. Simultaneously when accidents do happen the severity of claims will be more significant due to high costs of spare parts. In the long run insurers have to manage changes in their risk portfolios if liability

is transferred from the driver to the car manufacturer's autonomous driving algorithm. Overall, insurers will provide flexible and customer centric solutions to protect mobility journeys.
