What does "Experience Connected Mobility" mean to you?
A showcase of the latest generation of commercial vehicles and services, allowing attendees to experience these innovative products in the most ‘hands-on’ way possible.

What do you hope to achieve at IAA MOBILITY 2023?
We are offering attendees of the event the opportunity to experience a passenger ride in an all-electric Volta Zero on the Blue Lane, in the city streets of Munich. This will really demonstrate the positive attributes of the truck in a real-world environment and allow us to showcase a next-generation city truck to the public, which has been designed to be the safest vehicle possible for an urban environment. Additionally, following our initial launch activities and the announcement of the Volta Trucks Hub in the Rhine-Ruhr region, we would like to discuss our expansion plans for other major cities in Germany which starts later this year.

Which essential topic of the future receives too little attention from the public?
Artificial intelligence has the potential to transform many aspects of our lives, from the world of work to healthcare, and it is important that the public has an informed debate about the opportunities and challenges it presents.

In which area of mobility do you see the greatest potential and where do you see the greatest need to catch up? The passenger car industry has been transitioning away from internal combustion engine powertrains for a few years and has been supported with incentives and infrastructure, but now is the time for the commercial vehicle industry to catch up. We want to see an acceleration towards zero-emission commercial vehicles in our cities across Europe, creating more sustainable and healthier cities for us all.

IAA MOBILITY is the leading global mobility platform. It connects innovators from all spectrums of mobility. Who do you want to network with in September and why?
The Volta Zero and our innovative Truck as a Service offering have been designed to accelerate and ease the transition for fleet operators to a more sustainable and zero-tailpipe-emission fleet. We would like to network with fleet operators and decision-makers who are looking to make this transition now or in the near future, to show them our offering and help guide them through the transition.

The world is fundamentally changing. Innovation and also the endeavours in the mobility sector are bigger than ever before. What is your vision of the world in 20 years?
The world is changing rapidly, and the commercial vehicle industry is at the beginning of its largest shift in recent history, with a movement away from the internal combustion engine and the use of fossil fuels. The vision for Volta Trucks is to be the leader in zero-tailpipe emission transport, reducing the effects of global warming and making our cities safer, healthier, and more pleasant for us all.
