Important note: On the weekend (09.09. and 10.09.2023), the IAA MOBILITY will take place exclusively in downtown Munich - not at the Munich exhibition center! For more information about the IAA Open Space offer in downtown Munich, please click here.
IAA Summit
When traveling to the exhibition grounds by train, visitors arrive at Munich Central Station. From there, the U2 subway line runs every 5 minutes within 20 minutes in the direction of the exhibition grounds to the station Messestadt West.
With the IAA Summit Ticket (incl. IAA Conference), you also gain access to the extensive lecture program with international top speakers and to the IAA MOBILITY Networking Tours, which are going to be conducted for the first time. Use of local public transport** in the Munich city area on the day of the visit is included (zone M-6). By choosing the GoGreen ticket option, you pay additional four euros per ticket and contribute to reducing the greenhouse gas emissions generated during travel to and from the event. ** To use public transport, you must have your Print@home-Ticket with you. You cannot use public transport with your Mobile Ticket. Visitor tickets purchased on site do not include public transport either!
IAA Open Space
From Munich Central Station, all visitors arriving by train can reach the IAA Open Space locations in the city center quickly and comfortably within 10 minutes by public transport. The locations Königsplatz, Wittelsbacher Platz, Odeonsplatz & Ludwigstraße, Max-Joseph-Platz, Marienplatz, Residenzhöfe and Hofgartenstraße can be reached on foot from the main station in 20 minutes. Voi e-scooters can be used free of charge by new customers with the code "IAA23" for two first 15-minute rides.

IAA Summit (exhibition grounds)
The IAA Summit at the exhibition grounds can be reached via the A94 Autobahn. Sign-posts will guide you to the appropriate parking areas even before you leave the Autobahn at the München-Riem exit. A dynamic traffic control system regulates traffic to the exhibition grounds, directing you to the nearest available parking slot.
Parking will be available from two hours prior to the IAA Summit opening hours and will close two hours after the events end.
Easy and convenient recharging: Messe München's e-charging concept includes 80 fixed charging stations in the multi-storey parking lot West and additional mobile charging stations in the outdoor area, as well as a Supercharger (fast charging station).
As a rule, overnight stays on the exhibition grounds are not permitted. You can find possible mobile home parking spaces here.
IAA Open Space (Munich's city center)
The IAA Open Space in Munich's city center can be reached via the following seven highways connected by a ring: Autobahn A8, A99, A9, A92; A96, A94, A95 and A995.
Arriving by car is not recommended, however, as there are no parking spaces in downtown Munich. Please use all P+R parking lots in the entire MVV area. With a valid ticket you can use all means of transport in the MVV (subway, bus and tram) free of charge. P+R recommendations: from the west and north (A8 / A99 and A9 / A92) parking in Fröttmaning / Allianz Arena, from the east and south-east (A94 and A8/A99) parking at the exhibition center (IAA Summit), from the south (A95 and A96) Parking on P+R car parks in the MVV area.
Parking is possible in IAA Parking areas (Messe München P9 - P12 and Allianz Arena), as well as at public park-and-ride lots (especially recommendable: P+R Messestadt Ost and P+R Heimeranplatz) and in public parking spaces such as Parkharfe Olympiapark
The exhibition grounds is located 42 kilometers south of Munich Airport. The IAA Summit is easily accessible from the airport by public transport, shuttle busses and taxis. The S-Bahn lines S1 and S8 take travellers to Munich Central Station every 10 minutes in about 40 minutes. From there, the underground line 2 continues towards the exhibition grounds every 5 minutes. The journey from Munich Central Station by underground takes approx. 25 minutes.
Another option is the direct non-stop connection with shuttle buses. This shuttle bus service runs every 20 minutes from 03.09. - 08.09.2023 between Munich Airport and the exhibition grounds. The one-way journey takes approx. 45 minutes. Tickets for the airport trade fair shuttle can be booked online or on site. The shuttle bus stops at the airport are located directly in front of Terminal 1, Area A and MAC (Munich Airport Center), and Terminal 2. Additional shuttle services: The ride-sharing service BB MOBILITY is available in the north of Munich. You can book a ride from Munich Airport and surrounding hotels to the Munich Exhibition Center online. Sustainability means a lot to BB MOBILITY - that is why they use comfortable electric vehicles and put the orders together (pooling principle). This reduces emissions and traffic. The price is displayed in the order interface. Currently, reduced prices are applied- book you ride in advance and benefit from the special offer!

The IAA Open Space in Munich's city centre can be reached from the airport either by the two S-Bahn lines S1 and S8 or an express bus. The S1 and the S8 travel to Munich Central Station from the airport every 10 minutes. The journey takes about 40 minutes. From the main station, Open Space can be reached on foot in 20 minutes or by public transport in 10 minutes. The Airport Munich Express Bus runs to the centre of Munich every 30 minutes in approx. 45 minutes.
The IAA Summit and IAA Open Space will be connected by a shuttle bus line, which will also allow you to experience the latest innovations in the bus segment. The itinerary starts at Entrance West and Entrance Nord at the IAA Summit, and takes you directly to the IAA Open Space at Königsplatz in downtown Munich. The use of the shuttle bus is available to you free of charge.
