What does "Experience Connected Mobility" mean to you?
Customers' needs are changing faster than ever before with increasing digitization-and this also applies to the automotive industry. Especially in the interior, the car is becoming more and more digital, and thinks for itself. We use our new E-Class to show you exactly how this looks like: It develops with the driver and thus creates a new level of personalization. Personal preferences, such as favorite radio stations and presets, can be added to the car via your own Mercedes me profile. For us, this is precisely what "Connected Mobility" means.
What do you want to achieve at the IAA Mobility 2023?
At this year's IAA Mobility, we’re making it clear that Mercedes-Benz is assuming responsibility and is accelerating the transformation towards a more sustainable future. Our goal is to make electric mobility tangible for media, visitors and the residents of Munich.
The main focus of our presence at the IAA this year is the world premiere of a concept car. This demonstrates how we’re reshaping the “introduction „into the world of Mercedes-Benz through innovations that are groundbreaking in this class.
Visitors will also have the opportunity to experience our brand. To enable this, we’ve made a fleet of 30 electric and electrified vehicles available for test drives throughout the week.
Which essential future-oriented topic isn’t getting enough public attention?
One future-oriented topic that is often underestimated is the holistic consideration of the electric mobility transformation.
While switching to electric vehicles is important, we must ensure that customers have a seamless and practical experience. This means not only that the vehicles are manufactured in an environmentally friendly way, but also the electricity they use. At the same time, a comprehensive network of charging stations is crucial to reduce range anxiety and ensure the suitability of electric mobility for everyday use.
To this end, Mercedes-Benz also relies on cooperations to expand charging options, such as the Europe-wide IONITY fast charging network operated by Mercedes-Benz and other automotive manufacturers.
The IAA MOBILITY is the leading global mobility platform. It brings together innovators from all the spectra of mobility. With whom do you want to network in the coming September and why?
I’m personally interested in meeting with people who are looking for something special, are interested in our products, and are seeking answers for individual mobility in times of transformation. With our "Open Space" in the heart of downtown Munich, we are moving closer to the city and people and their lives. This is how we want to create personal Mercedes-Benz moments.
The world is changing more than ever. The innovative strength and efforts in the mobility industry are greater than ever before. What is your vision of the world in 20 years?
In a world that is evolving so quickly, it is extremely difficult to predict what will happen in 20 years. Only one thing is clear: We will remain true to the DNA of our brand. Since the invention of the automobile, we have continuously pushed boundaries and set new standards in the automotive industry. For example, we are considered a pioneer in terms of safety thanks to modern driver assistance systems and will set new standards with the innovative power of our new concept car. We will retain this pioneering spirit.
