Comprised of 24 companies, the Vestel Group is a multi-industry manufacturer, which operates in electronics, household appliances, mobile technologies, LED lighting and defence. Testimony to the global importance of Zorlu Holding across multiple technology sectors, Vestel is not only thriving at home in Turkey with its 12 companies, but also through a further 14 businesses that have been set up in various other parts of the world.

Originally founded in 1984, Vestel has grown from strength to strength, realizing its global potential after joining the Zorlu Group in 1994. Having rapidly accumulated market share, Vestel has attained global significance thanks to its flourishing export activity and enormous production capacity.

What does "Experience Connected Mobility" mean to you?

For us, it means even wider experiences beyond mobility, since connectivity is not only about connected vehicles, but also devices. With connected devices, users’ mobility experience will not only become more comfortable and safer, but also more environmentally friendly, thanks to their enhanced efficiency, which is made possible by data.

What do you hope to achieve at IAA MOBILITY 2023?

IAA Mobility 2023 is a valuable opportunity for us to show how Vestel Smart Mobility Solutions can fix many of the pain points frequently experienced in today’s mobility ecosystem. It also enables us to expand our network of partnerships to support and advance the evolution of the sector. We’re looking forward to exploring different technology solutions and gaining inspiration and insight.

Which essential topic of the future receives too little attention from the public?

The accessibility of sustainable mobility is an important, yet often overlooked issue. Much is made of how the future of mobility promises carbon-free, autonomous driving and an array of different transportation experiences. However, little is said about the scalability of industry solutions for the mass market, and how many people will actually benefit from them. Right now, supply chain problems, limited resources in terms of both raw materials and also human capital are creating fundamental bottlenecks for this emerging sector.

In which area of mobility do you see the greatest potential and where do you see the greatest need to catch up?

To realise the market’s potential, and ensure the necessary support for electrification, connectivity and autonomous vehicle technologies, first and foremost, we really require more investment in the necessary grid infrastructure. In addition to this, the development of hydrogen technologies in mobility as an alternate source for net zero transportation could also be game-changing.

IAA MOBILITY is the leading global mobility platform. It connects innovators from all spectrums of mobility. Who do you want to network with in September and why?

We aim to network with OEM, Tier1s, Technology and Service Providers, as well as start-ups

The world is fundamentally changing. Innovation and also the endeavors in the mobility sector are bigger than ever before. What is your vision of the world in 20 years?

Vestel Smart Mobility Solutions sees the future of mobility as sustainable, connected, accessible, and safe.
