The centerpiece of the design is a newly developed aluminum frame featuring Twin Glide Flex technology. By mounting the seat tube lower on the frame, Orbea has created a larger flex zone that better absorbs vibrations and road imperfections for a smoother ride. A carbon fork provides additional dampening at the front end, which, combined with wider tires, results in handling that is perfectly tuned for urban environments.

The Carpe is powered by a Shimano EP6 mid-drive motor, optimized for city riding. Energy is supplied by a 420 Wh battery fully integrated into the frame, designed to offer a sleek look without sacrificing range. For those needing even more distance, an optional 252 Wh range extender is also available.

The series consists of three models: the Carpe 25, Carpe 20, and Carpe 10. While the two entry-level versions utilize standard Shimano Cues derailleurs, the flagship Carpe 10 features a low-maintenance Gates Carbon Drive belt paired with an electronically controlled Shimano Nexus Inter-5 Di2 internal gear hub. Depending on the configuration, the bikes weigh between approximately 39 and 46 lbs (17.7 to 21 kg).

Practicality is a priority, with standard equipment including hydraulic disc brakes and integrated lighting. The bikes also offer numerous mounting points for front and rear racks, making them a highly versatile choice for daily commuting and hauling gear across town.
