Long term, the joint venture is designed to support the expansion of production capacity to assist with aircraft certification and meet the anticipated growth in demand for Joby’s electric air taxis.

The alliance brings together Joby Aviation’s pioneering work in electric aviation and Toyota’s decades of experience in production systems and manufacturing excellence. According to the companies, Toyota has been working alongside Joby for nearly ten years to help build the foundation for the aircraft's manufacturing technologies.
Both partners share the goal of making electric air mobility an everyday reality in the long run. By pooling their respective strengths, they aim to accelerate the industrial implementation of eVTOL technology and clear the path for a large-scale market launch.
 

A Focus on Scaling Mass Production
