Hyundai Motor Group Consolidates V2X Energy Services Under the AllDayEnergy Brand

The Hyundai Motor Group is introducing AllDayEnergy, a new global brand for its Vehicle-to-Everything (V2X) energy services. Under this new name, the group is bundling existing and future offerings for smart charging and the bidirectional use of electric vehicles as energy storage systems. The rollout will begin in the UK before expanding into additional markets.

Unified Platform for V2X Services
AllDayEnergy will unite various energy services under a single global brand identity. The portfolio includes Smart Charging (V1G), Vehicle-to-Grid (V2G), and Vehicle-to-Home (V2H). These services will be available via Hyundai Motor and Kia vehicle apps, offering customers a consistent user experience across different markets.
The launch begins with Smart Charging (V1G), which automatically adjusts the charging process based on electricity prices, grid conditions, and individual user preferences. This will later be followed by Vehicle-to-Grid features—where vehicles feed electricity back into the public grid—as well as Vehicle-to-Home applications that use electric vehicles as a power source for households.
Launch Starts in the UK
The rollout of AllDayEnergy starts in the second half of 2026 via the Kia App in the United Kingdom. Following that, Hyundai Motor Group plans to expand the service to additional European markets, as well as the US and South Korea.
The group is already running several V2X projects across multiple countries. In South Korea, Vehicle-to-Grid technology is being trialed on Jeju Island. In the US, Vehicle-to-Home solutions are being utilized as emergency backup power during natural disasters. In the Netherlands, Hyundai already offers smart charging solutions and Vehicle-to-Grid services tied to dynamic electricity pricing.
Electric Vehicles as Part of the Energy Grid
Through AllDayEnergy, Hyundai Motor Group aims to integrate electric vehicles more deeply into the energy system. Thanks to bidirectional energy flow, vehicles can not only be charged, but can also supply power back to homes or the electrical grid when needed.
According to the company, this will help customers optimize their energy costs, increase self-consumption of power, and contribute to stabilizing electricity grids. With the launch of AllDayEnergy, Hyundai aims to further expand its position as a provider of smart energy solutions.
