Audi Sport debuted the all-new Audi RS 5, marking the division’s first-ever high-performance plug-in hybrid. The RS 5 delivers a maximum output of 470 kW (639 hp) and a peak torque of 825 Nm (608 lb-ft) to the road. The powertrain is engineered to provide an all-electric urban driving range of more than 80 kilometers (approx. 50 miles) and an optional top speed of up to 285 km/h (177 mph). At the heart of this innovative drive system is a 2.9-liter V6 biturbo engine producing 375 kW (510 hp), paired with a 130 kW electric motor.

A standout technical feature of the new RS 5 is the newly developed quattro all-wheel drive with "Dynamic Torque Control." This system marks the global production debut of electromechanical torque vectoring on the rear axle. It doesn't just distribute power between the front and rear axles; it can vary the torque between the rear wheels within milliseconds. This results in significantly more precise, agile handling and enhanced stability during spirited driving. The package is rounded out by a finely tuned RS sport suspension featuring two-valve damper technology, offering an ideal balance of comfort and performance.

Both the Sedan and Avant models are expected to reach customers throughout 2026. Order books in Europe are projected to open in the first quarter of 2026.
