Hi Lou, what did you talk about in Episode 6?

In Episode 6 of the IAA MOBILITY Visionary Club Podcast, my guests discuss software-defined vehicles and what key factors may influence consumers' future car purchase or brand selection decisions. In addition, my guests discuss how the automotive industry can adapt to the increasing reliance on software to rapidly integrate new technologies, given the rapid pace of innovation in the technology sector and the long lifecycle of vehicles. They talk about disruptive technologies or trends that will shape the digital car of the future over the next five to ten years, and how advances and innovations from the technology sector, such as generative AI, will impact the automotive industry. They will also discuss potential barriers to consumer adoption of software-defined vehicles and how the industry can address concerns about complexity, trust, affordability, and user experience to drive widespread adoption?

Who are your guests?

My first guest is Dr. Christiane Zorn. She is the Senior Vice President of Product and Portfolio Strategy at AUDI AG. She started her career in 2007 as an associate consultant at the Boston Consulting Group before joining the BMW Group in 2013, where she was responsible for the BMW compact car segment as Head of China Product Management. In 2016, she was appointed Head of Controlling at BMW China. In 2020, she joined AUDI AG as Senior Vice President Product and Portfolio Strategy, Head of Global Product Marketing and Head of Sales China Mainland / Hong Kong.

Previously, she was Vice President at Motional, an autonomous vehicle joint venture between Hyundai and Aptiv, which she took from Series A to acquisition with the founders. Prior to that, as an executive at Zipcar, she was responsible for some of the earliest collaborations between the emerging mobility-as-a-service industry and established OEMs, including those with Ford, Honda and Toyota. She served on the board of Coord, which was acquired by Sidewalk and integrated into Google, and CivicSmart, a parking technology company.
