Four prestigious awards at IAA MOBILITY
From company cars to automobile and mobility advertising, cargo bikes, and the “Best of Mobility” – IAA MOBILITY is the place to be this year for recognition and awards.
Awards are a fantastic way to place the spotlight on companies or products, and to present examples of best practice. This is why IAA MOBILITY 2023, held from September 5 to 10, will be the premiere platform for presenting creative ideas and relevant topics to the general public and the press.
Premiere of the award "Firmenauto des Jahres 2023"
For the first time, IAA MOBILITY is the exclusive platform to issue the “Firmenauto des Jahres 2023” Award at the IAA Summit. This coveted award for company cars in 16 categories is issued by ETM Verlag and the online portal firmenauto.de every year. It distinguishes the traditional categories, such as mini-cars, as well as high-end vehicles, electric cars, plug-in hybrids, and the best innovations. Visitors will be able to test these vehicles in Hall C2 on September 7.
ETM Verlag has been issuing this renowned award since 1999, and it has since become a major indicator for the entire car industry. Winners are selected by an independent jury consisting of around 150 fleet experts, including motor pool managers and select motor pool professionals representing brand-independent service providers and leasing companies. This jury represents the German motor pool market and manages around 175,000 cars and vans.

The individual categories contain vehicle models that are among the top sellers in the fleets according to a recent Dataforce evaluation. The experts will vote for one overall winner and one import winner per category from among around 230 models, with the award as an indicator of performance and quality of commercially used vehicles.
Firmenauto.de – one of the most popular portals for the motor pool industry – provides motor pool managers with driving reports, advisory stories, industry insights, and background information.
Creative minds receive the “OttoCar”
The 16th AutoVision Awards will also be held at IAA MOBILITY. This award is an initiative by Filmservice International and is supported by the Verband der Deutschen Automobilindustrie (VDA).
All corporate films, marketing spots, TV formats, websites, and online/interactive/multimedia productions from the automotive industry and about the topic of mobility are eligible to compete. With this award, the organizers seek to acknowledge the creativity of talented production companies, agencies, and filmmakers from the last two years, awarding them with the coveted OttoCar trophies.
With the opening of the festival’s admission requirements, the AutoVision Awards also want to consider the transformation in the mobility industry. We thus note that any production concerning mobility (including urban mobility, cycling, technology & innovation, etc.) is eligible for submission and should be entered. Submissions must be in English, have English subtitles, or be submitted with an English transcript.
"Cargo Bike of the Year" Award at IAA MOBILITY.
The cargo bike industry has been growing alongside the trend toward sustainable urban logistics, and commercial use of cargo bikes has been constantly on the rise. Manufacturers are making great leaps in technology and industrialization. The "International Cargo Bike of the Year" Award (CABOTY) has been issued every year since 2019, and seeks to acknowledge these achievements.
The CABOTY finale and celebratory awards ceremony will be held at the IAA Summit during IAA MOBILITY in Munich. Last year, the award was issued during IAA TRANSPORTATION in Hannover, the world's leading platform for commercial vehicles. The award's presence at globally leading events aims to underline the fact that this niche industry has become part of the mainstream of logistics.

An expert committee consisting of editorial professionals, corporate consultants Deloitte, and the Technical University of Munich, votes for products and services from ten different categories.
The award for "Best of Mobility" distinguishes outstanding products and services in select automotive sectors. The reader and expert vote provides insight into which brands and innovations are the most highly praised by the relevant mobility experts. The vote includes select, pertinent mobility sectors from the areas of mobility, connectivity, and infrastructure. The results from this reader and expert vote are a reliable gauge for decision makers in the fields of industry and service.
