Bentley has unveiled the Torcal, its first all-electric production model. The roughly five-meter-long SUV establishes a fourth model line and will be developed and produced in Crewe. Two versions are planned for launch: one with 821 PS and the Torcal S with up to 888 PS and 1,350 Nm of torque. With launch control, the Torcal S accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 2.9 seconds.

The 113-kWh battery uses 800-volt technology and is expected to provide a range of up to 600 kilometers. The Torcal supports fast charging at up to 400 kW and is expected to charge from 10 to 80 percent in 16 minutes. According to Bentley, seven minutes of charging can add around 161 kilometers of range. EU type approval is still pending, as are the final energy consumption and range figures.

Technical features include a fully active suspension, electronic rear-wheel steering, and optional carbon-silicon carbide brakes. The Torcal also has 25 sensors and cameras for its driver assistance systems, along with automated parking and maneuvering functions. Inside, Bentley offers OLED displays, an augmented reality head-up display, and facial recognition that automatically personalizes vehicle settings.

Nissan will expand its European electric vehicle lineup in early 2027 with the new Pixo. The 3.80-meter-long A-segment car will be the first Nissan model in Europe to use an LFP battery. With a capacity of 27.5 kWh, the battery is expected to provide up to 259 kilometers of WLTP range. The electric motor produces up to 60 kW.

The Pixo comes standard with DC charging at up to 50 kW and is expected to charge from 15 to 80 percent in around 28 minutes. AC charging at up to 11 kW is also available, with bidirectional capability. Despite its compact dimensions, the four-seater offers 356 to 1,221 liters of cargo space thanks to sliding rear seats.

Standard equipment includes Google built-in with Gemini, Face ID, a 10-inch touchscreen, and several driver assistance systems. Developed by Nissan, the Pixo will be produced by Renault in Novo Mesto, Slovenia. The first vehicles are expected to be delivered in early 2027; Nissan plans to announce prices and further details starting in December 2026.

Saudi electric vehicle brand Ceer has unveiled its first model, the Exobot. The flagship vehicle from the joint venture between the Public Investment Fund (PIF) and Foxconn is planned as both a sedan and an SUV. In its top version, the three-motor electric all-wheel-drive system produces 817 kW (1,111 PS) and 1,500 Nm of torque. The sedan is expected to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 2.1 seconds, while the SUV is expected to take 2.4 seconds.

Ceer is working with several international partners on the powertrain: Rimac supplies the rear motor, two electric motors on the front axle come from Hyundai Transys, and BMW is also contributing technology. Battery capacity, range, and charging power have not yet been disclosed. Other technical features include steer-by-wire steering and a 48-inch 8K cockpit display.

Under current plans, series production will begin in Saudi Arabia in early 2027, with the first deliveries scheduled for March. The Exobot marks the start of a broader model rollout: Ceer plans to offer seven models by 2030. The company also aims to increase the share of locally created value to 45 percent by 2034.

Geely has unveiled a new generation of its Smart Charging technology. Paired with the new Shendun Golden Battery, suitably equipped electric vehicles are expected to charge from 10 to 70 percent in four and a half minutes. According to Geely, the battery supports a maximum charging rate of 12C; charging from 10 to 97 percent is expected to take eight minutes and 40 seconds.

The fifth-generation Geely Smart Charging Station reaches a peak output of 2,250 kW, or 2.25 MW. An AI-based energy management system developed with StepFun connects the vehicle, battery, charger, cloud, power grid, and stationary storage. Among other factors, it adjusts charging power based on the predicted battery temperature. Liquid cooling extends throughout the charging chain.

To reduce battery aging during fast charging, Geely also uses lithium-ion pulse regeneration. Together with intelligent charging management, it is expected to increase cycle life by up to 20 percent, according to the manufacturer. Geely is also developing a lower-cost Ultra Short Blade Battery with a maximum charging rate of 6C.
