Under the motto “Tech for the People,” Porsche is celebrating the world premiere of its new flagship 911 model at IAA MOBILITY 2025. At the same time, Porsche becomes the first major automaker to bring an 11-kW wireless charging system to market readiness. The system uses a so-called “one-box floor plate” that charges the vehicle as soon as it's properly parked above it—eliminating the need for cable charging in daily use. It’s especially convenient for home garages or driveways. The first model to support the new inductive system will be the all-electric next-generation Cayenne, set to debut in late 2025. A glowing prototype on display at IAA MOBILITY will give visitors a first-hand look at the technology.

Audi is bringing clean design, exciting new models, and extensive test drives to IAA MOBILITY 2025. One highlight is the immersive “Feel Audi” installation, which brings the brand’s new design philosophy to life through the themes “clear, technical, intelligent, emotional.” Center stage is the Audi Concept C—a fully electric sports car concept that premiered in Milan and is now being shown publicly in Munich for the first time. Also featured is the refreshed Audi Q3 Sportback e-hybrid (200 kW). Visitors can take part in up to 1,400 test drives across 20 different models, including the S6 Avant e-tron, Q6 Sportback e-tron, RS e-tron GT performance, A5 Avant e-hybrid, and Q5 Sportback e-hybrid.

Volkswagen is rolling out a new naming strategy that transfers familiar combustion-engine model names to its all-electric ID. lineup. The first vehicle under this new scheme will be the ID. Polo—based on the ID. 2all concept—which is scheduled to launch in 2026. The GTI nameplate will also make the leap to the electric era: the ID. GTI Concept will go into production as the ID. Polo GTI in the same year. Both the ID. Polo and the ID. Polo GTI will make their world debut—still in camouflaged form—at IAA MOBILITY. In addition, Volkswagen will unveil the ID. CROSS Concept, an all-electric compact SUV. The production version, the ID. Cross, will launch at the end of 2026 as the electric counterpart to the T-Cross.

Under the theme “Deeper Look to Progress,” Hyundai Mobis is presenting over 20 core technologies at IAA MOBILITY that support the transition to software-defined vehicles (SDVs). These innovations are grouped into three focus areas: eco-friendly electrification, integrated control systems, and connected visual technologies. A standout highlight is the Holographic Windshield Display (HWD), which turns the entire windshield into a multidimensional display for navigation, driving data, and more—developed in collaboration with ZEISS for potential production by 2029. Other innovations include plug-and-play solutions like the EDU 3-in-1 (motor, inverter, and transmission in one unit), the In-Wheel System (integrating drive, braking, and transmission into the wheel hub), full battery systems (EV BSA, HEV BSA, PHEV BSA), the Integrated Charging Control Unit (ICCU), and the next-gen digital cockpit system M.VICS 6.0, which features variable sliding displays.

At IAA MOBILITY, BYD is debuting its first-ever station wagon for the European market—the SEAL 6 DM-i Touring. The plug-in hybrid vehicle offers up to 105 km (65 miles) of all-electric range and a total range of up to 1,350 km (839 miles) with the seats folded down. The cargo space is equally impressive, with 1,535 liters of capacity. BYD is also showcasing a sedan version of the same model—the SEAL 6 DM-i—boasting up to 1,505 km (935 miles) of total range.

Bosch is using IAA MOBILITY to highlight the growing importance of software and artificial intelligence in future mobility. The company is presenting a range of solutions, including advanced camera systems and new radar sensors (SX600 and SX601), which are designed to offer 30% more range. Two SX601 units can be paired for increased precision. Bosch is also unveiling new inertial sensors that serve multiple systems, ultrasonic chips (TB293 and TB193) with open VASI-Bus standard, and a low-power Bluetooth tire pressure monitoring sensor with built-in diagnostics.

MOIA, Volkswagen Group’s tech subsidiary, is introducing a comprehensive turnkey solution for autonomous mobility services at IAA MOBILITY. At the heart of the offer is MOIA’s proprietary software ecosystem, complemented by the ID. Buzz AD—the first fully autonomous production vehicle from Volkswagen—as well as operator-focused services for autonomous fleets. Selected visitors will have the opportunity to experience the technology in autonomous test drives across Munich.

XYTE Mobility is using IAA MOBILITY to launch its first vehicle—the XYTE ONE, a three-wheeled, fully electric scooter with an integrated safety cell. The vehicle is designed to be legally driven without a helmet and with a standard Class B (car) driver’s license. Combining advanced engineering with cutting-edge safety features, the XYTE ONE is positioned as the world’s safest electric scooter. Its unique safety frame allows for over 100 km (62 miles) of range on a single charge and is electronically capped at a top speed of 100 km/h (62 mph).

Sonatus has unveiled the Sonatus AI Director, a platform that brings edge AI directly into the vehicle. Its aim is to give automakers (OEMs), suppliers, and other partners a unified environment for training, validating, and deploying AI models.

Edge AI provides key benefits such as shorter response times, reduced data transfer costs, stronger data protection, and greater reliability even when connectivity is interrupted. Precedence Research forecasts that the automotive AI market will reach a volume of $46 billion by 2034.

The AI Director can be seamlessly integrated into existing vehicle architectures, operated in isolated environments, and simultaneously monitored from the cloud. Compared with fragmented MLOps solutions, the platform shortens time-to-market for new applications from months to just weeks or even days. It also supports a wide range of model types,  from physics-based approaches to neural networks, as well as LLMs and SLMs.
