On August 28, 2025, the regional press conference was held in Munich to preview IAA MOBILITY. The message was clear: the third edition of the event, taking place from September 9–14, will be larger, more international, and even more experience-driven than ever before. More than 55 percent of exhibitors will be from outside Germany. 

VDA Managing Director Jürgen Mindel emphasizes: “Here in Munich we’re presenting world premieres and impressive innovations that show what we’re capable of. I’m looking forward to our industry sending a confident signal of strength and future focus. And that we once again demonstrate what we can achieve with this momentum, our significant investments, our passion, and our collective effort. IAA MOBILITY is the global flagship of our industry — an industry whose work creates growth, prosperity, and jobs in Germany and around the world.”

At this year’s IAA MOBILITY, Volkswagen will underline its commitment to delivering “mobility for all” with four new model debuts in downtown Munich’s Open Space. 

The centerpiece: a world premiere of a fully electric compact SUV at Odeonsplatz, giving a glimpse of a new addition to the all-electric ID. family. Once launched, this model will complete the Electric Urban Car Family within the Volkswagen Group’s volume brands. Also on display for the first time in public: the all-new T-Roc. 

Other highlights include the ID.3 GTX FIRE+ICE, developed in collaboration with performance fashion brand BOGNER FIRE+ICE, and the 50th anniversary Golf GTI EDITION 50. With 239 kW (325 hp), it’s the most powerful production GTI ever built—after debuting earlier this year at the Nürburgring 24h.

Renault will celebrate the world premiere of the sixth-generation Renault Clio at IAA MOBILITY 2025—continuing the legacy of one of its all-time bestsellers, first introduced in 1990. Also showcased: the Renault 5 E-Tech Electric and two forward-looking concept models. Among them: the Emblème demo vehicle, a family car and “rolling lab” for low-carbon mobility, and the Renault 5 Turbo 3E, the brand’s first all-electric “mini supercar.”

Leapmotor is showcasing its electric SUV, the Leapmotor B10, for the first time in Europe—alongside the model’s official market launch on the continent. By the end of 2025, the B10 will be available in over 30 countries across Europe, the Middle East, Africa, Asia-Pacific, and South America. Europe remains the brand’s primary target market, with preorders already open in Austria. Further announcements are expected during the show.

Togg is using the IAA MOBILITY platform for the world premiere of its T10F all-electric sedan, alongside the official market debut of the T10X SUV in Germany. Visitors can also explore the brand’s digital mobility ecosystem, Trumore. 

Under the theme “Clean Energy Solutions,” Togg will also highlight Siro (its battery venture) and Trugo—Turkey’s largest high-speed charging network.

At IAA MOBILITY, battery innovator ProLogium Technology will unveil the fourth generation of its superfluidized inorganic solid-state lithium batteries. The company aims to showcase how this advanced battery architecture addresses key challenges in EV development—from fast charging and range to recyclability and cold-weather performance. 

A major highlight: ProLogium’s announcement to launch mass production in Europe, supporting the regional auto industry with local access to next-gen battery tech.

HERE Technologies will present several cutting-edge demos at IAA MOBILITY 2025, showcasing how location-based tech is shaping the future of mobility. Highlights include: 

HERE Navigation, a complete and differentiated navigation and services experience for connected vehicles with a Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) solution that reduces development time and expense for OEMs. SceneXtract, an innovative solution for the most time-consuming tasks in ADAS and AD development. HERE AI Assistant, a cutting-edge solution leveraging multiple Generative AI Large Language Models (LLMs) to deliver natural language-powered, location-aware guidance. And HERE ADAS Cockpit Experience, an exclusive development toolkit enables OEMs and Tier 1 suppliers to create immersive graphical representations of advanced vehicle functions in action - including ADAS and AD

Chinese automaker DFM Forthing and its German general importer, Indimo Automotive, will present three new models at IAA MOBILITY: the Forthing 4 PHEV, the Forthing 7 REEV, and the Forthing 9 PHEV. 

With a focus on modern design, intelligent features, and efficient propulsion, the lineup combines plug-in hybrid systems with extended-range EV tech—designed to bridge everyday usability and long-range flexibility.

From September 8–12 in Hall B3, Booth C40, PGUB Management Consultants will showcase how mid-sized companies can tackle transformation—efficiently and sustainably. At its Future Mobility Pavilion, PGUB and its partners from e-mobility, infrastructure, semiconductors, and mechatronics will present ready-to-implement solutions. 

A standout highlight: the debut of the electronica Automotive Conference at IAA MOBILITY, chaired by PGUB Managing Director Peter Gresch. For the first time, this renowned conference will be part of the IAA ecosystem.

Sebastian Vettel, four-time Formula 1 World Champion, will be one of the top speakers at IAA MOBILITY 2025 in Munich. Drawing on his experience at the intersection of high-performance technology and sustainability, Vettel will share his unique perspective on mobility with IAA MOBILITY attendees. On September 09, he will speak on the B2B platform at the IAA Summit as well as at the public IAA Open Space. 

In his talks, Sebastian Vettel will address core future themes in mobility. At the IAA Summit, he will focus on future mobility, the mix of transportation modes, technological innovation, and circular economy. At the admission-free IAA Open Space, he will focus on everyday mobility mix with an emphasis on bicycles, present his “Race without a Trace” project featuring alternative fuels, and inspire the next generation with technology and innovation.
