Volkswagen has officially unveiled the ID.3 Neo, the successor to the ID.3. In addition to a wide range of standard driver-assistance systems—such as Lane Assist, Front Assist, and an oncoming vehicle braking function—the electric compact model gains a host of new features thanks to the latest software generation. Highlights include the enhanced Connected Travel Assist with optional traffic light recognition and the introduction of "one-pedal driving," which allows the vehicle to use regenerative braking to come to a complete stop. Furthermore, as with all new ID. models, the Neo now features Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) capability, allowing external devices—from electric grills to e-bikes—to be powered with up to 3.6 kW directly from the high-voltage battery.
Volkswagen has officially unveiled the ID.3 Neo, the successor to the ID.3.

The exterior of the ID.3 Neo reflects the "True Volkswagen" design philosophy with a redesigned front end featuring a continuous light bar and an illuminated logo. The interior is characterized by a newly conceived cockpit landscape with intuitive controls and high-quality materials. This includes a redesigned multifunctional steering wheel with a flat-top and flat-bottom rim and clearly organized button clusters. The new "Innovision" infotainment system consists of a 10.25-inch Digital Cockpit and a 12.9-inch central display.

The ID.3 Neo also features a newly developed drive system that offers increased torque and lower energy consumption compared to previous motors, enabling a range of up to 391 miles (630 km). At launch, the model will be available in three trim levels, three power stages, and three battery sizes. The three electric motors deliver 170 PS (125 kW), 190 PS (140 kW), and 231 PS (170 kW).
The 170 PS version is paired with a 50 kWh (net) battery and serves as the standard configuration for the ID.3 Neo Trend. The ID.3 Neo Life and ID.3 Neo Style can also be optionally configured with a 58 kWh (net) battery producing 190 PS, or a 79 kWh (net) battery delivering 231 PS. The 50 and 58 kWh batteries can maintain a consistently high charging rate of up to 105 kW at DC fast-charging stations, while the 79 kWh version can reach charging speeds of up to 183 kW.
