Škoda has shared a first glimpse into the interior of the new all-electric Epiq, which is set to be officially unveiled on May 19th. The model is part of the "European Urban Car Family" within the Volkswagen Group’s Brand Group Core and is designed to make electromobility accessible to a wider customer base.

The new Epiq will be the brand’s first production vehicle to fully implement the "Modern Solid" design language within the interior. Škoda is focusing on a minimalist design featuring clearly structured surfaces and a deliberately streamlined layout.
The first sketches released show a horizontal interior architecture that replaces the traditional dashboard, intended to create a particularly open sense of space. This concept is complemented by ambient lighting, which Škoda says is designed to create a cozy, home-like atmosphere.

In addition to the design, Škoda is placing a strong emphasis on functionality and ease of use. The clearly organized layout of the controls is intended to ensure intuitive operation.
Practical solutions include an open storage compartment and a free-standing center console with an integrated wireless charging function for smartphones. At the same time, sustainable materials are being used to underscore the brand’s "Modern Solid" approach.
