With the introduction of the new 911 GT3 S/C, Porsche is expanding its GT family with a particularly soul-stirring model, marking the first time the manufacturer has brought a 911 GT3 to market as a convertible. This lightweight vehicle combines the thrill of open-top driving with the uncompromising performance of a classic GT3, setting a new benchmark in the high-performance sports car segment.

The 911 GT3 S/C is the first open-top variant of a GT3 model and remains steadfastly focused on pure driving pleasure. Unlike other convertible versions, it is designed strictly as a two-seater, drawing inspiration from purist models like the 911 Speedster. The model adopts key lightweight components from the 911 S/T, including doors and fenders made of carbon-fiber-reinforced plastic. These are complemented by additional weight-optimized parts to ensure exceptional driving dynamics despite the open-roof configuration.
The cabriolet is powered by the renowned 4.0-liter six-cylinder boxer engine, which revs up to 9,000 rpm and delivers 502 horsepower (375 kW) along with 331 lb-ft of torque. Power is delivered exclusively through a short-ratio six-speed manual transmission—a clear commitment to a purist driving experience. With an acceleration from 0 to 60 mph in approximately 3.7 seconds and a top track speed of up to 194 mph, this open-top GT3 performs right on par with its coupe counterparts.

For the first time, a GT3 features a fully automatic convertible top. This roof can be opened or closed in roughly twelve seconds and remains functional while driving up to a certain speed. Thanks to the use of magnesium components and a lightweight construction, the roof structure is highly weight-optimized and maintains a coupe-like silhouette when closed.
Technically, the 911 GT3 S/C is closely aligned with the GT3 Touring. It features a double-wishbone front axle, a specially tuned suspension geometry, and high-performance sport tires. This combination ensures that the cabriolet provides precise, direct handling—especially on winding roads—even without a fixed roof.
Visually, the model stands out with a unique appearance featuring a black windshield frame, striking lightweight elements, and various optional customization possibilities. With the optional "Street Style" package, owners can add further design accents, such as high-contrast graphics and exclusive color combinations to make the vehicle truly their own.
