At Milan Design Week, Kia officially presented the Vision Meta Turismo concept to the public for the first time. The concept vehicle, which was initially introduced in December to mark the brand's 80th anniversary, provides a concrete look at the future direction of the brand in terms of electromobility and user experience.

With the Vision Meta Turismo, Kia aims to demonstrate how mobility will evolve beyond mere driving. The study combines performance-oriented driving characteristics with a lounge-like interior, reimagining the aesthetics of classic 1960s long-distance travel. The goal is to create a holistic experience that links technology with emotion, interpreting the cabin more as an individual living space than a traditional cockpit. This approach is rooted in the "Opposites United" design philosophy, which fuses seemingly contradictory elements—such as dynamism and comfort, technology and emotion, or function and aesthetics—into a single cohesive vision.
A core element of the concept is the seamless blending of real and virtual driving experiences. Through a 3D augmented reality head-up display and optional AR glasses, the vehicle creates an immersive interaction between the car and its passengers. Analog controls are supplemented by digital functions that provide haptic feedback and physical simulations. These features include a joystick for simulated gear shifts, virtual engine sounds, and a "Launch Control & GT Boost" function that unleashes maximum power for instant acceleration.

Special attention was given to the steering wheel, which serves as the central interface for various immersive experiences. Inspired by game controllers, it allows access to three distinct modes: "Speedster, "Dreamer," and "Gamer." The "Speedster" mode focuses on an intense, emotional sensation of speed with enhanced visual and acoustic effects. "Dreamer" is designed for urban scenarios, utilizing AR technology to provide an expanded perception of the surroundings. Finally, in "Gamer" mode, the stationary vehicle becomes an interactive platform for virtual racing games, experienced via the head-up display and external projections.
