Top 6 country clusters at the IAA Summit you won't want to miss

IAA MOBILITY 2023 will be more international than ever. When the world of mobility gathers in Munich from September 5-10, companies from nearly 40 countries, including Germany, China, the United States, South Korea, Singapore, the Republic of Kosovo, Thailand, France, Israel, Hungary, Bulgaria and Serbia, will be present. In addition, the Ukrainian Automotive Cluster, supported by the German Society for International Cooperation (GIZ) and the VDA, will have a stand.

At the IAA Summit, several country clusters bundle the innovative power of the respective country and make the competence of the various mobility industries visible. They will showcase technological, digital and expert solutions for greener, data and AI-supported mobility. Trade visitors from the mobility sector can get an overview of new business models, groundbreaking start-up concepts and established major companies here in Munich.

European High-Tech Pavilion

The European High-Tech Pavilion is the place to be in Hall B2, where you can network with 31 exhibitors from across Europe and discover the latest innovations in engineering and technology - including high-end interior surfaces, emission control systems, thermal management and new vehicle technologies for all drive systems; optical glass and sapphire stone designs for new touch display modules; scalable software applications based on AI and blockchain technologies for safe mobility; and suppliers of metal-plastic components, engineering needs, sensors and controls for the automotive industry.

Israel Export Institute

In addition, more than 23 groundbreaking companies from all over Israel will present their inventions and product innovations at this year's IAA MOBILITY. For example, Mobileye Vision Technologies from Jerusalem (Hall B2, B21) will present the next stage in the development of driver assistance and autonomous driving technologies that read visual data from cameras and sensors to enable self-driving vehicles and autonomous mobility solutions.    

13 other innovation drivers in the tech, AI and startup community will be represented at the joint Israeli booth - presented by the Israel Export Institute and the International Cooperation Institute, a non-profit organization supported by the Israeli government and the private sector.  On display are products in the areas of AI and connected vehicle data, digital automation, cybersecurity, software-defined driving and secure data handling. Also on display will be sustainable, fast-charging infrastructure solutions for e-mobility.

Netherlands (NL) Pavilion

Suppliers from the Netherlands will also contribute their innovative strength to the mobile ecosystem at IAA MOBILITY. Fifteen exhibitors, curated by RAI Automotive Industry NL, can be found in the Netherlands Pavilion. Suppliers of charging infrastructure, battery technology, sustainable vehicles and digital mobile solutions will meet there.    

Other Dutch startups will also present their groundbreaking mobility innovations in the four Startup Areas, while the Dutch Cycling Embassy aims to promote knowledge transfer for climate-friendly inner cities (A3, E13).

Chinese manufacturers at IAA MOBILITY

After Germany, China is the country with the most exhibitors at IAA MOBILITY with 70 companies.   For example, Leapmotor (Hall B1, Booth B10) is presenting its entire product range at IAA MOBILITY for the very first time. The highlight will be the presentation of a new mid-size electric SUV model that will be launched on the German market next year. In addition, the manufacturer will show its small electric model T03, which is already sold in France and Israel.   

 Main exhibitor BYD (Hall B3, D40) will showcase six electric vehicles and a selection of new technologies, including the European premiere of SEAL U. In addition to the IAA Summit, the company will also be present at the IAA Open Space on Odeonsplatz. Xpeng (Hall C2, A41) will again present its flagship products P7 and G9. Other manufacturers from China represented at the IAA MOBILITY are the Geely brands Lotus and Polestar as well as Dongfeng.   

 In addition, there are exhibitors from the battery technology sector. Here, companies such as Gaius Automotive China, Gentex Corporation, Guangdong Greenway Technology, GUS Technology China, Hive Power China, Longwell Company China, REPT BATTERO Energy, Shenzhen BASiC Semiconductor China, Shenzhen VMAX New Energy China and XEV China will be present.   

 The "World New Energy Vehicle Congress" (WNEVC), which is usually held in China, is also making its debut outside its home country for the first time during IAA MOBILITY. The e-mobility congress focuses global attention on new manufacturers in the field of electric mobility. It will take place on September 6 as part of IAA MOBILITY (ICM, Room 14B).    

Ukrainian Automotive & Mobility Cluster (UAMC)

The Ukrainian Automotive and Mobility Cluster is home to 8 partners representative of the entire value chain - from manufacturers of parts and components for manufacturing, the largest Ukrainian OEMs, producers of electric batteries and charging stations to IT technology providers and producers of electronic vehicle equipment.   

"Despite the difficult situation in Ukraine, the Ukrainian automotive industry remains a strong, reliable and promising partner for European companies," said Olga Trofymova, cluster manager of the Ukrainian Automotive and Mobility Cluster. The opening ceremony of the stand will take place in the presence of the Ukrainian Consul General, a representative of the German Society for International Cooperation (GIZ) and the VDA on September 5 at 13:00.

 Bavaria Innovative   

The German state of Bavaria will again be represented at its own booth under the name Bayern Innovativ with a competitive cluster of suppliers and startups. As a cooperation partner of the Bavarian State Ministry of Economic Affairs, Regional Development and Energy, Bayern Innovativ will showcase nine manufacturers from Bavaria - from cargo bike provider Mocci to EVUM motors.

Other country pavilions - from AEP Portugal, Canada Unlimited, Business France, the FKG Swedish and The Hungarian Investment Promotion agency are all located in Hall A3.
