IAA MOBILITY 2025 is using what3words to help visitors find their way more easily. Many locations across the exhibition grounds don’t have a standard street address — including gates, ticket counters, restrooms, and temporary event areas. But with what3words, visitors can navigate directly to precise spots with just three words, making it easier than ever to explore the entire event without getting lost.

The system divides the world into 3m x 3m squares, each assigned a unique combination of three words — known as a what3words address.For example, visitors can find the entrance to the ICM (International Congress Center Munich) by entering ///reached.circle.badgers into the free what3words app. The West Entrance to the IAA Summit on the exhibition grounds can be found at ///group.pickup.witness. This means that every outdoor area of IAA MOBILITY — including entrances, facilities, and temporary spaces — has a simple and precise address that makes it easy for visitors to find exactly where they need to go.

IAA MOBILITY uses what3words addresses to help visitors navigate more easily. But how do you find and share a what3words address?

Here’s how it works:

• Open the free what3words app
• Tap the arrow above satellite mode to display your current location*
• To find a location other than your current one, zoom in on the map and tap the desired square
• The what3words address for that location will appear at the top of the screen

*Note: Once the blue dot stabilizes, the most accurate what3words address will be displayed. Location accuracy depends on your device’s GPS signal, which works best outdoors with a clear view of the sky.
