From September 9 to 14, the IAA Experience will take place as part of the third edition of IAA MOBILITY 2025 in Munich. For six days, visitors can experience the latest mobility innovations—both on the grounds of Messe München and throughout the city center. Here are the highlights of the IAA Experience.
1. ADAS & Telematics Demonstrations

September 9–12 – IAA Summit
As part of the ADAS & Telematics Demonstrations, trade visitors will have the opportunity to experience what the future of automated driving feels like. Simply register at the booths of participating exhibitors at the Summit and embark on an accompanied ride on public roads—starting from exclusive departure points near the exhibition halls.

2. Test Drives

September 9–12: IAA Summit / September 9–14: IAA Open Space
Take the wheel of the latest car and motorcycle models and experience them firsthand during a guided test drive. A total of 232 vehicles from 22 different exhibitors will be available for visitors to try out.
For trade visitors at the exhibition grounds:
Between the ICM and the West Parking Garage, you’ll find the dedicated departure terminal for IAA Summit test drives. Here, trade visitors can explore the latest passenger car innovations from Bosch, GAC, Mahle, Snapdragon, Volkswagen, and XPENG.
For private visitors in downtown Munich:
Participating manufacturers will be located at various test drive stations throughout the IAA Open Space. From these central city locations, visitors can take individual test drives—free of charge. The following brands will be available at each departure point:
- Königsplatz: BYD, Chery, Togg
- Ludwigstraße: Can-Am, Leapmotor, Polestar, XPENG
- Max-Joseph-Platz: Mini
- Odeonsplatz: Ford, Genesis, Hyundai, Kia, Smart, Volkswagen

- Residenzhöfe: Lucid, Mercedes-Benz

3. C-ITS Roadshow by Autobahn GmbH des Bundes

September 9–12 – IAA Summit
When vehicles talk to infrastructure — live on the A94.Imagine your car warning you about a hazard long before you even see it. With Cooperative Intelligent Transport Systems (C-ITS / Car2X), vehicles and infrastructure communicate in real time—improving safety, efficiency, and sustainability on our roads.From Monday through Thursday, you can experience five realistic C-ITS scenarios live on the A94 highway. These demonstrations are presented by the Autobahn GmbH of the German Federal Government, in cooperation with the police and the ADAC.All demonstration rides depart from and return to the Test Drives departure terminal at the IAA Summit.

4. Cycling Test Track and Cycling & Micromobility Parcours

September 9–14 – IAA Open Space
Cycling enthusiasts will get their money’s worth at the IAA Open Space. The Cycling Test Track, a scenic 4 km loop, invites visitors to test out bikes and e-bikes from participating exhibitors in a relaxed, open-air setting.
In addition, the Cycling & Micromobility Course on Ludwigstraße offers a more structured test experience. This specially designed circuit features four distinct modules that simulate real-world traffic conditions—giving visitors the chance to put micromobility solutions through their paces.

5. Innovation Cases

September 9–12 – IAA Summit / September 9–14 – IAA Open Space
At the IAA Summit, Bosch, Mahle, and Snapdragon will showcase their latest innovations in energy management, climate control, air filtration systems, service solutions, artificial intelligence, and semiconductor technology.
At the IAA Open Space, INYO Mobility will present an autonomous, all-electric lightweight vehicle designed to carry up to four passengers. Running along a dedicated route north of Ludwigstraße, the vehicle integrates seamlessly into the existing public transport system.

In general: Interested visitors can find all participating exhibitors and their products in the official IAA MOBILITY app. For the Test Drives, many exhibitors also offer the option to book a test drive appointment in advance through the app.
