The Radio Gong 96.3 Band Contest: Here Are the Winners

IAA MOBILITY 2025 isn’t just bringing cutting-edge innovations in mobility to Munich — it’s also turning up the volume on music. Over the past few weeks, Radio Gong 96.3 joined forces with IAA MOBILITY to launch the Big Gong 96.3 Band Contest, searching for Munich’s most exciting up-and-coming musical talent. And after plenty of fan votes, the results are in!

Here are the winners — and you can catch them live on the main stage at Siegestor as part of the IAA Open Space:

1st Place: DEVADO

DEVADO is a German-American artist from Munich known for producing high-energy pop tracks using only her voice and body percussion. Her one-woman show is a truly unique live experience, blending creativity with powerful stage presence. Disney fans might recognize her voice from the German version of Moana, where she voiced the lead character.

2nd Place: Thaler

Thaler is a German pop singer-songwriter from Munich who first gained attention performing as a street musician in the city’s Olympic Park. His debut album — produced by Mic Schröder (who’s worked with Joris, among others) — is on the way. He’s currently touring across Germany, bringing his honest, acoustic-driven sound straight to the people.

3rd Place: Kaled

Kaled creates German-language pop and thrives on live performance — especially in his hometown. With an approachable sound and a deep love for the stage, he connects with audiences through genuine emotion and energy.

Adrian, aka Fin Issue, is a genre-blending artist with roots in Latin music, singing in German, Spanish, and English. His music is made to move to — blending Latin rhythms with rap, funk, and pop. As a seasoned bandleader, he’s now stepping into the spotlight as a solo artist on the big stage.

A huge thank-you also goes out to all the incredible bands and artists who took part in the contest, including Philipp Onel, Sophia Zoe, Frederic Levi, Chiara Adams, Marina Marie, Emanuel Reiter, Philipp Allar, and Popcorn Molecule.
