On Saturday, IAA MOBILITY took place exclusively at the IAA Open Space in downtown Munich. Highlights included the Mascot Summit and a world record set by students from the Technical University of Munich. In addition, two open-air evening concerts took place for the last time on the Königsplatz stage.

Mascot summit on the Königsplatz stage   

On the penultimate day of the IAA MOBILITY, Blicki, the IAA MOBILITY mascot Liaa, Berni from FC Bayern and 11 other well-known mascots met on the Königsplatz stage to sign the mascot manifesto in the presence of VDA President Hildegard Müller.  Afterwards, visitors had the opportunity to get an autograph from their favorite mascot.

World record
with the electric car  

Students from the Technical University of Munich set a world record with the longest range electric car  

Students from the Technical University of Munich (TUM) celebrated a successful world record - the development of the world's longest range electric car.  The team took part in the world record attempt at Munich Airport as part of the IAA MOBILITY trade show, driving more than 2,573 kilometers on a single battery charge. The test lasted a full six days, during which the team slept on cots in an aircraft hangar. In the process, they surpassed their original goal of 2,000 kilometers by a full 573 kilometers.

On the penultimate day of IAA MOBILITY, the Citizens Lab once again hosted a discussion on the sensible use of vacant urban spaces. A panel discussed how our mobility behavior is changing and what role livable cities play in this.

Concerts
Königsplatz stage

Once again, two open-air concerts took place on Königsplatz. First, British singer-songwriter Moss Kena enthralled the audience. On the other hand, at the end of the evening open-air concerts, Glockenbach feat. ÁSDÍS was celebrated.
