On the fifth day of IAA MOBILITY, events at the IAA Summit and the IAA Conference had concluded, and the grounds of the trade fair center Messe München were closed for IAA MOBILITY. The weekend was then entirely dedicated to the IAA Open Space and the IAA Experience in downtown Munich.
The Festival of Lights Munich took place one last time at the IAA Open Space.
The IAA Open Space continued on Day 5 with exciting experiences for the whole family. At BMW’s Family Trail Station 9, titled “Proactive Pairs: Match the pairs with BMW Proactive Care, collect stamps & win prizes!”, visitors could test their memory in a matching game, find the right pairs, collect a stamp for their Family Trail pass, and win prizes. The booth’s motto: “Relax. We’ve got you covered.”
Meanwhile, at Family Trail Station 10, under the slogan “Rolling, flying, swimming – Kids design the vehicles of the future (12:00–2:00 PM),” children could get creative in a hands-on workshop, building their dream vehicles from recycled materials.
At the Citizen Lab on Marienplatz, there was a discussion on how to create a relaxed, livable urban environment for all generations. Another talk focused on electric mobility—why there’s no way around it, and where we currently stand in the transformation of the mobility sector.
On the Siegestor Stage, the Ehrenblicki 2025 award was presented by Blicki e.V.—an honor recognizing initiatives dedicated to improving traffic safety for children. Daniel Abt and other experts also took the stage to discuss the opportunities and challenges of autonomous driving.
The musical lineup on the Siegestor Stage included German-American artist DEVADO, winner of the Radio Gong 96.3 x IAA MOBILITY Band Contest. Rolax Sax captivated the crowd with emotive saxophone sounds, while Cellz energized the audience with a fusion of rap, soul, and hip-hop.
The Festival of Lights Munich wrapped up with one final illumination of the Bavarian State Library, the Old Town Hall, and the Residenz.
The IAA Experience Continues in Downtown Munich
The IAA Experience at the trade fair center Messe München wrapped up on Friday. However, the IAA Experience in the IAA Open Space in downtown Munich continues through Sunday. Visitors still have the chance to test drive more than 232 vehicles from 22 different exhibitors.
Bike and e-bike enthusiasts can also keep enjoying the Cycling & Micromobility Course on Ludwigstraße, or try out new models on the 4-kilometer Cycling Test Track in the English Garden.
The experience is rounded out by Innovation Cases from Bosch, Mahle, Snapdragon, and INYO Mobility, who are showcasing their technologies in the Open Space.
