The IAA MOBILITY as the starting point for public discussion
As part of the IAA MOBILITY 2021, a traffic trial to test a temporary environmental lane was carried out for the first time in Germany together with the Bavarian State Ministry for Housing, Construction and Transport, Autobahn GmbH, and in close coordination with the municipal authorities. This was implemented, scientifically monitored and subsequently evaluated on a section of the A 94 between the Munich - Am Moosfeld junctions and the end of the urban freeway, as well as on the subsequent short urban road section to the Mittlerer Ring, and in the opposite direction for the 7-day duration of the IAA MOBILITY event. The objective was to reduce the traffic volume by carpooling or using public transport.
