Bolder Design and New Lighting Signature

The new S-Class commands a stronger road presence. Key updates include a 20 percent larger illuminated grille, an optionally illuminated Mercedes star on the hood, and new DIGITAL LIGHT headlights featuring a "double star" design. Thanks to micro-LED technology, the high-resolution lighting field has expanded by roughly 40 percent, with the high beams now reaching up to 1,970 feet (600 meters).

MB.OS and AI Take Center Stage

At the heart of this technical evolution is the new Mercedes-Benz Operating System (MB.OS). It networks all core vehicle areas, enables seamless over-the-air updates, and serves as the foundation for next-generation driver assistance and infotainment. This is complemented by the latest AI-supported MBUX generation, a standard MBUX Superscreen, and Google-based navigation featuring 3D surroundings and augmented reality cues.

Enhanced Assistance and Executive Rear-Seat Comfort

Driver assistance systems have been significantly expanded. A new computing architecture—powered by ten cameras, five radar sensors, and twelve ultrasonic sensors—enables advanced driving and parking functions. Looking ahead, MB.DRIVE ASSIST PRO is designed to eventually provide a seamless point-to-point driving experience in urban traffic.

In the rear, Mercedes-Benz is doubling down on its "executive suite" appeal. In the long-wheelbase version, the First-Class rear compartment—equipped with two 13.1-inch (33.3 cm) displays, video conferencing capabilities, and new MBUX remote controls—transforms the interior into a connected business lounge.

Electrified Powertrains and Superior Ride Quality

The powertrain lineup ranges from enhanced six-cylinder diesel and gasoline engines to a new V8 and plug-in hybrids offering an electric range of approximately 62 miles (100 km). Standard and optional suspension systems, such as AIRMATIC and E-ACTIVE BODY CONTROL, further elevate ride comfort. Rear-axle steering is now standard with a 4.5-degree angle, while up to 10 degrees is available as an option for tighter maneuvering.

Advanced Safety and Unmatched Customization

The S-Class also raises the bar for occupant protection. The enhanced restraint system includes PRE-SAFE Impulse belt tensioners, belt bags, and—depending on the configuration—up to 15 airbags. At the same time, personalization options have grown exponentially: through the "MANUFAKTUR Made to Measure" program, customers can choose from over 150 exterior colors and more than 400 interior color combinations.
