Bosch eBike Systems is expanding its product portfolio for urban cycling with a series of newly unveiled innovations.
The HubLine Motor for eUrban Bikes
The centerpiece of these new releases is the HubLine, the very first hub motor from Bosch eBike Systems within their smart system. Specially developed for eUrban bikes, the drive unit delivers 45 Nm of torque to ensure a highly agile ride in city traffic. At the same time, the motor decouples completely at speeds above 25 km/h (approx. 15.5 mph), allowing the bike to be ridden with virtually zero pedaling resistance. Weighing around 2.3 kilograms (5 lbs) with a diameter of just about 100 millimeters (4 inches), the motor integrates almost invisibly into the rear hub. As a core component of the Bosch Smart System, the HubLine also supports features like navigation, theft protection, personalization, and over-the-air updates, and it can be seamlessly combined with the eShift electronic shifting solution.

New PowerTube 360 Focuses on Lightweight Design
To complement the new drive system, Bosch is introducing the PowerTube 360. With a diameter of just 68 millimeters (2.7 inches), Bosch notes that this is their slimmest smart system battery to date. The power pack weighs around 2.1 kilograms (4.6 lbs), offers a capacity of 360 Wh, and delivers a range of over 80 kilometers (50 miles) in urban environments. For longer rides, the system's capacity can be expanded via the PowerMore 250 Range Extender in a DualBattery configuration.

Connected Theft Protection and New Controls
Bosch is also expanding its security features with a new generation of the ConnectModule. In addition to GPS and cellular connectivity, the module will now utilize Bluetooth Low Energy to track eBikes more precisely, even in areas with poor GPS reception. At the same time, retrofitting the module onto compatible bikes has been made much simpler. These expanded features are available as part of the paid Flow+ subscription.
Also making its debut is the LED Controller, succeeding the LED Remote. The control unit is roughly 65% smaller than its predecessor and features five ergonomically arranged buttons alongside a USB-C port that offers up to 10 watts of charging power for external devices. Rounding out the new portfolio is the Intuvia 200, which features a 2.4-inch grayscale display designed for high readability and a clean, minimalist look.
