BMW M unveiled the new BMW M Concept Neue Klasse at the 24 Hours of Le Mans, offering a glimpse into the next generation of all-electric high-performance vehicles. The concept car showcases the future design language of BMW M GmbH, blending motorsport technology, innovative materials, and a brand-new electric powertrain concept.

Visually, the vehicle delivers a powerful interpretation of the Neue Klasse design, featuring a wide track, aggressively flared wheel arches, and numerous aerodynamic elements. Distinctive features include the redesigned BMW kidney grille with an integrated light signature, the debut of yellow "M Yellow Lights" reminiscent of GT race cars, and new three-dimensional "Track Lights" at both the front and rear. A prominent ducktail spoiler, a floating diffuser, and M-specific aero side mirrors further enhance aerodynamic efficiency.
Performance takes center stage in the interior as well. The cabin is defined by four newly developed bucket seats, a driver-focused cockpit, and premium materials like nubuck leather and natural fiber composites. The design taps into the brand's motorsport DNA, seamlessly merging it with the digital display and control concepts of the Neue Klasse.

On the technical side, the concept provides an initial preview of the future BMW M eDrive powertrain. Based on the Gen6 technology of the Neue Klasse, it combines four electric motors with the new BMW M Dynamic Performance Control software. The central computing unit, dubbed the "Heart of Joy," coordinates the drivetrain, brakes, and driving dynamics systems for each individual wheel, promising incredibly precise handling. BMW promises optimized traction, high recuperation capabilities, and immediate responsiveness, even when pushing the car to its limits.
The powertrain concept also includes an 800-volt architecture and a high-voltage battery pack with a capacity of over 100 kWh. The variant of the Gen6 cylindrical cells, developed specifically for BMW M, is designed to enable exceptionally high performance in both charging and power output. Additionally, the battery housing is integrated into the vehicle architecture as a load-bearing structural element, further contributing to the car's overall driving dynamics.
