Advancing Mobility Toward a Greener Future with Comprehensive Composite Solutions

The mobility industry is undergoing a profound transformation, driven by the rapid development of advanced materials that are paving the way toward a more sustainable future. As one of the global leading composite solutions providers, HRC is actively engaged in this evolution, leveraging cutting-edge carbon fiber technologies to redefine next-generation mobility.

Making its debut at IAA Mobility, HRC will showcase a comprehensive portfolio of world-class, high-performance and lightweight carbon fiber components, alongside an integrated technology matrix.

SUSTAINABLE Ecosystem Solutions

As the world accelerates toward net-zero emissions, it is clear that the future of sustainable mobility depends not only on electrification but also fundamentally on circularity.

HRC ‘s exhibition centers on its “Ecological System of Recyclable Composite Material”, which outlines the complete lifecycle of recycled carbon fiber—from waste material to high-value automotive components—through HRC’s proprietary recycling technology. As one of the few companies worldwide with a fully integrated system covering development, application, recycling, and reuse of composites, HRC utilizes patented technology that retains over 95% of the carbon fiber’s original strength, while reducing carbon emissions to just 4.7% of those associated with new materials.

Based on this innovation, HRC has developed a series of recycled carbon fiber thermoplastic components suited for various automotive applications. These products not only comply with international top-tier performance standards but also exhibit outstanding production stability and scalability for mass manufacturing, providing the automotive industry with a practical and sustainable option toward carbon neutrality.

SMART Innovations in Lightweighting

Carbon fiber composites are characterized by high specific strength, excellent corrosion resistance, and long-term durability. HRC leverages expertise in material engineering, structural design, and industrial manufacturing to advance lightweight solutions for automotive applications.

Hybrid Monocoque (c) HRC

A standout innovation is the Hybrid Monocoque, the world’s largest carbon fiber monocoque, exclusively developed and manufactured by HRC. This component achieves a 30% weight reduction compared to conventional steel or aluminum solutions, enabling the vehicle to attain an industry-leading lightweight body coefficient of 0.95 and set a new international benchmark in automotive lightweighting.

In parallel, HRC is also promoting thermoplastic composite processing to enhance manufacturing efficiency and sustainability. Suitable for high-volume production of structural parts, this approach offers short molding cycle times, recyclability, and high impact resistance. The exhibited door module utilizes an integrated compression-injection molding process that eliminates secondary bonding, ensuring high consistency and production stability while boosting throughput.

STYLISH Composites Excellence

Carbon fiber is distinguished by its unique texture and historical use in Formula 1 and high-performance vehicles, making it a notable material in advanced industrial design.

Crafted from carbon fiber sheet molding compound (C-SMC)—an independently developed and mass-produced material by HRC—the tailgate demonstrates high formability for complex geometries and structural reliability. Compared to conventional metal designs, the C-SMC tailgate achieves a 25% reduction in weight, simplifies painting and adhesive bonding processes, and maintains aerodynamic and visual continuity.
