CLIMATE PROTECTION​ ENGAGEMENT

IAA MOBILITY 2023 creates innovative and future-proof mobility concepts. Building and strengthening a mobility community that can do just that: Real encounters, personal exchange, experiencing, listening and touching is indispensable.​

​At the same time, we must be aware of this: CO₂ emissions are released at every event.​

​We have a special responsibility. How do we deal with it?​

In the context of IAA MOBILITY 2023, Open Space exhibitors are obligated to balance the resulting, unavoidable emissions of their event presence by supporting climate protection projects. More information can be found in the Requirements for the presentation in the Open Space. Besides the Open Space commitment, we encourage all Summit exhibitors to participate in the GoGreen Audit on a voluntary basis. ​

The determination of the accrued emissions of your event appearance via the CO2 audit costs €249. If you have already prepared a CO2 balance sheet for your event, you can have it audited by our partner myclimate for €349. Please contact us at [email protected].

As an exhibitor, make a contribution by supporting certified carbon offset projects with our partner myclimate. The renowned organization measurably advances climate protection as well as sustainable development with worldwide projects of the highest quality.

Your commitment as an exhibitor to climate protection takes place in the high-quality myclimate carbon offset projects that meet the highest standards (Gold Standard, Plan Vivo) and, in addition to reducing greenhouse gases, demonstrably make a positive contribution to sustainable development locally and regionally. The collected IAA MOBILITY 2023 GoGreen audit premiums are distributed to the following international carbon offset projects.

The international initiative with roots in Switzerland is one of the world’s leading partners for effective climate protection. With projects of the highest quality, myclimate promotes measurable climate protection and sustainable development worldwide. Their projects reduce emissions by replacing fossil energy sources with renewable energies, putting in place local reforestation measures with small farmers and implementing energy-efficient technologies. Their experienced consultants help companies in the field of CO₂ and resource management to identify and develop potential. So far, in the more than 140 myclimate climate protection projects, 13.46 million CO₂ have been saved, 18 million trees have been planted and 20,000 jobs have been created.

With the new myclimate label >>Engaged for Impact<< you can actively pursue climate protection and communicate your commitment credibly and transparently. Using the tracking number integrated in the label, on www.myclimate.org you can always see in which myclimate climate protection project the greenhouse gas emissions are offset. This offers the maximum level of transparency and strengthens trust in the commitment.​

Everyone can make their contribution to climate protection, including you as a visitor to IAA MOBILITY 2023. You can support climate protection projects by purchasing your GoGreen Summit ticket.​

​CO2 emissions are released by the travel of our visitors. With the GoGreen Ticket, we are offering the opportunity to contribute to climate protection for the greenhouse gas emissions produced. This climate protection contribution in five high-quality myclimate climate protection. The amount is calculated from the average CO₂ consumption of a journey to and from our visitors at the past IAA MOBILITY 2021.

In addition to GoGreen, the IAA MOBILITY 2023, together with Messe München, is focusing on environmentally friendly infrastructure and climate protection on site. Further information can be found here.
